Rich Mihelic - House Director
With the Future Stars program, Rich works tirelessly to bring our players the best possible, age-appropriate training in the United States. He loves when players come in excited to see him. He also makes sure to fuel their love of the game with fun, yet demanding lessons, and keep the training environment one that is constructive, not critical. The beauty of hockey, for Rich, is that it creates unity by bringing people together; not only by developing the physicality of a player, but their mentality as well.
Rich is also the Founder of Motor City Hockey - Michigan’s premier on-ice hockey training program. Rich brings his considerable talent and experience to the USA Hockey Club of Michigan with the Future Stars program focused on Learn to Play, 6U & 8U activities. Rich works to seamlessly transition his 8U Future Stars players into their next level opportunity when the time is right.
His goal for the future is to continue coaching the game he loves and to strengthen and mentor as many players as possible. He gets to live his hockey dream, while also being in the company of his wife & son – Ashley and Dylan.
